My Thoughts on Senator Hornback

Honestly, I think Senator Hornback needs to calm down. He is totally fine with making kids as young as seven years old to work in tobacco farms. Why doesn’t he try it? Those children working in those farms are getting really sick. This cruel! How would you feel if you were working day and night with very little breaks. I don’t know how I would survive. I really think this is unfair. These children wear no or very little protective gear. Also, I’m not a big fan of smoking, but that’s another story. Anyway, Senator Hornback is a coward. He’s making children work in tobacco farms. You can’t even buy cigarettes until you’re 18! It’s not fair. God bless these children.

Week 10 Part 2

I have written 8 posts since March. All 8 of them were written in response to challenges. None of them were based on my interests. I have 3 comments in total. The post that I have received them most comments on was on Week 10 post. I think it received the most comments because I nominated a friend. I enjoyed writing my Week 9: My Super Bright Future because it was about what my plans for the future. I read this post to my mom and she cried tears of joy. I really want to be an amazing woman like my mom when I grow up. Yes I changed my default blog theme because I didn’t like it and it was too boring. I don’t have any widgets. I have no overseas students on my blogroll.

Week 10

I nominate Caiya’s blog because she has worked really hard on it. She posts extra things like funny comics and awesome pictures. Her blog is really cool!

Week 9: My Super Bright Future

My Future

I may only be 12 and half years old, but I already have my entire future planned. As a small child, I didn’t care much about my future. I wanted to be a singer or an actress. Now, I want to be many things. A journalist, video game tester, author, blogger, youtuber, film maker or director, screen writer, photographer, and the most important job of all, a mother

Here is my plan for the future. I plan on going to the high school of my dreams, graduating then getting into one of my dream colleges (Stanford, UCLA, CSUN, Brown, Emerson, Harvard, Yale, or UCSB), graduate college, fall in love between the time I am in high school and college, get into the writing/film/youtube business. I plan on writing books or scripts for films in a nice apartment in either Los Angeles, Santa Barbra, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, or New York. I plan on getting married and having two to four children. Preferably two boys and two girls. I plan on living a happy life with my children and husband.

Now, my future is very important. The grades I have now may effect me in the near future. My mom has showed me that in the toughest situations, there will always be a bright side. She raised my sister and I alone for almost 5 years. She is always happy, no matter how hard things get for her. Many things have happened to her like breast cancer and divorce. My mom works day and night to keep us in our school and to keep a roof over our heads. She is the hardest working person I know. She is the brave, amazing woman I plan on becoming one day.

My Biggest Passion

I have many passions/hobbies. My biggest and most favorite passion is writing. I love to right anything. I write in my diary everyday and I’m writing a novel. Writing helps me escape from reality. When I write, I have many ideas for new books, chapters, stories, ect. I am very inspired by John Green’s books to write stories. I enjoy to write because I always get amazing ideas in my head and I write them down. I aspire to be a writer, journalist, author, ect. when I grow up. When you write, you can express your feelings and the paper you are writing on won’t judge you. You can write for fun or just because you are bored. It’s my escape and that’s why I love writing.

Week 7: 5 People Who I Think Are Leaders

1. Nelson Mandela was a South African president. He was a great leader because he didn’t stop fighting for what he believed in. And for that, many people are inspired by him.

2. Mother Theresa was a woman who went to places where there were many poor and hungry people. She fed them and lived with them. Theresa would go to world leaders and tell them to pray more and give money to help the poor. She was a very inspirational leader.

3. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was against discrimination and peacefully protested. He wanted blacks and whites to go to the same schools and sit together on buses. He inspired others to give up racial acts like discrimination.

4. Rosa Parks led by example. During the time of the Jim Crow law in the south, Rosa was tired after work so she sat in the bus seat reserved for whites. A white man came on the bus and told her to go to the back. She said no and was arrested for not giving up her seat. After that, she fought peacefully for black rights. Rosa Parks inspired many people to protest peacefully for what they believe.

5. President Barack Obama is the first African-American President of the United States of America. He is in his second term as president. Many people look up to him because of the great things he does as president like free and affordable healthcare for all. Many people are still prejudice and Mr. Obama is very patient with those who insult him or his views.

Week 6: My Flawless Friends

This week I made a video of all of the memories I have made so far in the sixth grade. In this video, you will see my friends and I being crazy and funny. You may also see some of our selfies, and videos of us singing and dancing. I worked really hard on this video. Please leave a comment below and tell me what you think!

Watch here!

Week 4: A Picture Is Worth

I thought the video was weird. I didn’t know all these things about copyright. I knew some things like you can get in trouble if you use something without the owners permission. It was cool to find ways to keep your work safe from other people taking it.
